There are a handful of Bollywood celebrities who lend their helping hand to sports. Nana Patekar is one such man. Nana, who had in the past, played an encounter specialist in Ram Gopal Varma's Ab Tak Chappan has now confirmed his participation in the National Shooting Championship that will be held in Pune from November 14. Not many know that Nana is an ardent shooter in real life and that he has been practicing for the 50m rifle prone position event regularly at the shooting range. Not just that, he has gone on record to say that he would sign a film and use all the money to sponsor four Indian shooters who have been constantly motivating him to practice and participate in the competition. The four 'chosen' ones are Lajja Goswami, Navnath Phadtare, Sanjeev Rajput and one more shooter, whom he will choose soon. Nana, who was skeptical about his participation initially later got convinced, courtesy, Lajja Goswami and Sanjeev Rajput. On the other hand, the actor is also busy preparing for the sequel Ab Tak Chappan where he plays an older policeman. Nana said that the 'real life' practice session has helped him get into the character. Not just that, he said that him winning medals for India in the sport can just become a possibility. He also added that he is going to carry his Scatt Trainer during the film shoot and practice shooting during breaks.
