Shahid Kapoor turns down Vinod Chopras next

Shahid Kapoor is in not just two minds, but several minds over which assignments to accept next. A recent offer to be turned down by the ultra-picky Shahid is Vidhu Vinod Chopra's love triangle Chitthiyan. Apparently, the fastidious filmmaker met the choosy hero and narrated the love story. Shahid who has just done a full-on love story Mausam with his father is in no mood to go ultra-romantic so quickly again. Says a close friend of Shahid, "Shahid is hearing at an average one script every day these days. For some strange reason most of the films on offer including Anand (Tanu Weds Manu) Rai's Ranjhana are love stories. Ideally, Shahid would want to do an action film next." Says Shahid's friend, "Shahid has the highest regard for Vinod Chopra's work and was keen to work with him. But a love story is not what he wants to do at the moment. He meant no offence to Mr. Chopra and would like to work with him in the future. At the moment, the only film Shahid has said yes to is Maneesh Sharma's next for Yash Raj films. On hold are Prakash Jha, Anand Rai and several others." When contacted, Shahid said, "I haven't accepted any new offer except Maneesh Sharma's. And it would be inappropriate to talk about the films I've said no to."
